Headstone reads: "PENNINAH Wife of Benj. HAVENS. died Oct. 25, 1831. Aged 63 y's."
We prepare to make gravestone rubbing, taping rice paper to the headstone.

Burial site of our great-great grandparents, George and Elizabeth Havens. Ledge Lawn Cemetery in Newstead, NY.
Headstone is broken but reads: "George Havens Died __ 19, 1858". Our great-great grandfather.
Headstone reads: "Elizabeth B. Wife of George Havens Died May 28, 1844 Aged 32 years." Elizabeth's maiden name was Salisbury. She was a descendant of English nobility.
Headstone for Joseph Havens family. We think he may be George's brother.
Geroge W. Havens, not the same George as our great-great grandfather, but another possible relative, although we aren't sure about the connection.
Havens Road is directly across the highway from Ledge Lawn Cemetry in Newstead, NY, near Akron, NY. Our guess is that possibly our ancestors were farmers living along this road.

Norene's father, Norman Flading's burial site, is nearby.
Norene's mother, Irene Flading, is buried near Melissa, too.
Several Anderson family members are also buried in the same area. Uncle Skeets and Aunt Helen (Oscar and Helen Anderson) were laid to rest here.
